1. Overview & Data Controller
Welcome to Wisp (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “Application”). We are committed to protecting your personal privacy while providing a delight-filled, habit-building cleaning companion.
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, processed, and safeguarded when you use our mobile application and related services.
Data Controller & Operating Entity:
Wisp Mobile Services
Support & Legal Inquiries: help@wispclean.com
2. Personal Data We Collect
We collect information directly provided by you, as well as data gathered automatically during your use of the Application:
- Account Identification: Your email address and full or preferred display name (if voluntarily provided during registration or account setup).
- In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: Transaction histories, entitlement identifiers, active subscription statuses, and receipt validation tokens. (Note: Payment card details are processed directly and securely by Apple or Google; we never view or store raw credit card information.)
- Anonymous Session Data: If you use Wisp before creating an account, we generate an anonymous identifier so your tasks and progress can be stored on your device and our servers. When you create an account, this anonymous data is transferred to your account and the anonymous identifier is deleted.
- Push Notification Tokens: Device push tokens (e.g., Expo/OneSignal player IDs) used to deliver reminders, streak alerts, and subscription expiry notices. These tokens contain no personal information and can be disabled by turning off notifications in Settings or your device settings.
- Usage & Application Activity: Interaction logs, feature engagement, completed cleaning tasks, pet/ghost interaction frequencies, streak counts, session lengths, and app launches.
- Device & Diagnostic Identifiers: Operating system versions, unique device identifiers (e.g., IDFV), IP addresses, screen resolution, locale/time zone, hardware models, and app performance logs.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your Personal Data for the following operational, legitimate, and lawful purposes:
- To synchronize your cleaning tasks, ghost customization, and app settings across your authorized devices.
- To manage active subscriptions, fulfill digital items, and process in-app purchase receipts.
- To monitor app performance, detect crashes, resolve bugs, and conduct infrastructure maintenance.
- To analyze user engagement trends to refine game balance, features, and overall user experience.
- To measure marketing performance, ad campaign conversions, and user attribution.
- To comply with binding legal requirements, protect against fraudulent activity, and enforce our terms.
4. Third-Party Analytics, Infrastructure & Ads
To provide a high-performing and continuously improving product, Wisp integrates select, trusted third-party service providers:
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.)
Used for real-time error tracking and infrastructure diagnostics. Collects stack traces, device specs, OS versions, and crash context to help our engineering team fix software issues rapidly.
PostHog, Inc.
Used for product analytics and behavior visualization. Events are associated with a pseudonymous account identifier so we can understand feature usage across sessions and devices. This data is not shared with advertisers and is never sold. You can opt out anytime via Settings → Help Improve Wisp.
Supabase (Supabase, Inc.)
Used for data hosting, authentication, and real-time database services. Stores your account information, homes, tasks, and app content on behalf of the Application. Supabase infrastructure is hosted on AWS (US region).
Clerk (Clerk, Inc.)
Used for account authentication and sign-in (including Sign in with Apple and Google). Processes your email address and authentication session data.
RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.)
Used to validate and manage in-app subscriptions and entitlements. Processes anonymous subscription identifiers and receipt tokens — never payment card details.
OneSignal (OneSignal, Inc.)
Used to deliver push notifications such as task reminders and streak alerts. Processes device push tokens and notification engagement data.
Your analytics choice: Product analytics via PostHog are enabled by default to help us improve Wisp. You may opt out at any time in the app via Settings → Help Improve Wisp. When opted out, no usage events are collected. Error diagnostics via Sentry remain active as they are necessary to provide a functioning service (legitimate interest, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
5. Purchases & Billing Data
All financial transactions, subscriptions, and billing activities are brokered entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store payment infrastructures.
We store non-sensitive subscription state records (e.g., active plan, expiration timestamp, receipt token) linked to your account ID so we can unlock your earned in-app benefits.
6. Account Deletion & Data Retention
You retain full control over your personal data. We keep your information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the operational purposes described in this policy.
How to Delete Your Account directly in Wisp:
- Open the Wisp app on your mobile device.
- Navigate to Settings (gear icon).
- Tap Account & Security.
- Select Delete Account & Data and confirm your choice.
Executing account deletion permanently wipes your profile, task history, ghost progress, and linked credentials from our active databases within 30 days. You may also request manual deletion by contacting help@wispclean.com.
7. Disclaimers, Warranty Exclusions & Limitation of Liability
Please read this section carefully, as it limits the legal liability of Wisp and its operators.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted operational availability, error-free code, or complete freedom from third-party server outages.
B. Limitation of Legal Liability & Waiver of Claims
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Wisp, its founders, developers, employees, or third-party partners be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages (including loss of data, loss of goodwill, device malfunction, or missed personal tasks) arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the Application.
C. Agreement Not to Sue
By utilizing Wisp, you expressly covenant and agree that you shall not institute, maintain, or participate in any lawsuit, class action, or legal proceeding against Wisp or its creators regarding service interruptions, data sync failures, account modifications, or routine product operations.
8. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)
We process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of our contract with you (account, task sync, subscriptions), legitimate interest (product analytics, which you may object to via Settings → Help Improve Wisp; error monitoring; service security), and consent (marketing attribution where applicable, withdrawable at any time via device tracking settings).
If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you possess distinct legal rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

- Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable JSON format.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Revoke prior consent for analytics or marketing collection at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at help@wispclean.com. We will fulfill legitimate requests within 30 days without fee.
International Data Transfers: Wisp is operated from the United Kingdom, and your data is processed by our service providers primarily in the United States. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum, together with the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents are entitled to specific disclosures regarding personal information handling:

10. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because we do not request age or date of birth at any point during registration or use of the Application, we rely on users to provide accurate registration information consistent with our Terms of Service. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child below the applicable minimum age without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents and guardians may contact us at help@wispclean.com so we can delete the information immediately.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to revise or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material modifications will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and where appropriate, providing in-app banners or email notifications. Continued use of Wisp following published updates signifies acceptance of the modified policy.
